Mr. Bodner graduated from Syracuse with a B.A in Economics. Following graduation, he worked for two years as a VISTA Volunteer before joining the U.S. Department of Education in Washington D.C. In 1986, Mr. Bodner joined the Transport Workers Union of America, Local 234 in Philadelphia and through 2000 he served as a staff representative, Vice President, and in-house counsel for the Local. While working for Local 234 he attended Temple University School of Law, where he graduated with a J.D., summa cum laude in 1996. He served on the Temple Law Review in 1994-95 where his analysis of the U.S. Supreme Court's First Amendment public employee speech decision in Waters v. Churchill was published.

After law school, Mr. Bodner continued to work on the staff of Local 234 serving as an advocate in arbitration, negotiating contracts, handling relations with the media, and managing the Local's grievance and arbitration caseload. He joined KCR in 2001 where he has tried several cases and served as co-counsel on a variety of labor, employment, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation matters, including anti-trust litigation, contractual disputes and efforts to terminate trusteeships imposed upon local unions by their International affiliates. Mr. Bodner is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
